Dinosaur Valley, TX
April, 2001
Dear Jake & Amelia,
On our way south, we stopped at Dinosaur Valley State Park in Glen Rose
to camp. It's a lovely campground in the trees. As a bonus, we
discovered that within the park are 110 million year old dinosaur
tracks. We walked to see them. They are huge, clear under the water.
What is now a river bed was then muddy tidal flats bordering the ocean.
Archeologists read a chase scene in some of the prints. The giant plant
eating sauropod who feasted on lush tropical vegetation was chased by a
fierce carnivorous theropod.
