Texas Wildflowers
April, 2001

Dear Jake & Amelia,
We meandered through Texas wildflower country on small roads. We passed through Western towns whose short main streets looked like stage sets. Then lush green fields stretched out on both sides of the road  for as far as we could see. Cows and more cows grazed. The roads were lined with wildflowers that spilled into the fields. Bluebonnets, Indian paintbrush, Indian blanket, winecups, yellow daisies and more soothed our eyes.
